Dr Reinhardt Dreyer is a Specialist Physician with a clinical focus on diabetes and metabolic disease. At Geelong Specialist Group, he provides outpatient specialist assessment and management of adults across the following areas:
Diabetes: Type 1 and type 2 diabetes, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump therapy (AID)
Cardiometabolic disease: Thyroid disease, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, and heart failure optimisation.
Perioperative medicine: Medical assessment and optimisation of patients with complex medical comorbidities undergoing surgery

Dr Dreyer holds a public appointment at South West Healthcare, where he works in General/Acute Care Medicine and Intensive Care. He is an Associate Professor at Deakin University, with ongoing involvement in medical education, clinical supervision and research, including clinical outcomes, healthcare systems and quality improvement.
