Orthopaedic Surgeon

Rekha is a Victorian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon working at St John of God Hospital (Geelong), Epworth Geelong and University Hospital Geelong. Rekha has a special interest in sports knee injuries, hip and knee joint replacement surgery and limb reconstruction surgery. As Chair of the Victorian Paediatric Orthopaedic Network, Rekha is a strong advocate for the Paediatric Orthopaedic subspecialty across the state. Through her public appointment at Barwon Health and Honorary appointment at the Royal Children’s Hospital, she continues to facilitate research, teaching and high quality care for the children and teenagers in South West Victoria. Her subspecialty training included a year long observership at the SickKids hospital in Toronto, a Limb Reconstruction Fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Geelong Hospital with further training at Starship Hospital New Zealand. She is currently involved in the VicHip research project, continues to be involved in the Medical Education team at Geelong hospital and is a passionate advocate for injury prevention in grassroots sports throughout our region.
